Welcome to the Common Ground Student Run Educational Farm blog! We've been busy bees lately! Let us catch you up on what you've missed!
We ventured down to the NOFA Vermont winter conference in Randolph Center, Vermont earlier this month to attend workshops and talks about farming, agriculture policy in Vermont, sustainability, homesteading, and cheese making among many other topics. David Zuckerman, Heather Darby, Will Stevens, and Bernie Sanders were among some of the many fanastic people we saw at the conference. This Saturday, March 1st, the Common Ground Farm Club will be attending the local food tasting event happening down at City Market at 11:00, and then we'll be heading out to the farm at 12:15 to take a look at the green houses, our land, and all the equipment we'll have to work with. We're excited to get out there and get a better visual of exactly what we have to look forward to this summer!
